Five Reasons to Register Now!

  1. You receive a discounted rate, only $95.00 plus HST. The price will jump to $125 plus HST at the end of July. Similar conferences in other cities often cost hundreds of dollars.
  2. The first 100 registrants receive a signed copy of Scott Stratten’s book, UnMarketing: Stop Marketing. Start Engaging.
  3. We are booking some of the best social media minds from all across North America – Vancouver, Toronto, New York, San Francisco. We also know there are hundreds of people interested in coming to this conference. But if everybody waits until the last minute to register (as is often the case in Victoria), we may have to scale back how many speakers we bring in from around the continent.
  4. Scott Stratten is not speaking in Vancouver or Seattle any time soon! Your only opportunity to see him on his book tour is right here, in Victoria.
  5. Victoria is a leader in Social Media! Be part of keeping it that way. If this event is a huge success, we’ll put Victoria on the map as a destination for social media conferences in Canada and North America.

  1. [...] I am co-organizing Canada’s first Social Media Camp, featuring local presenters, and well known experts from across North America. The event runs the full day on October 3rd, 2010. Registration is now open, and there are some perks to signing up early! [...]

  2. Sean Smith says:

I can’t wait for this! I would love to see something on social media and how it can be used to develop exposure and community profile for smaller communities. My company and eZABU.com have been working on it in Campbell River with some real success, but we are always looking for more ideas to push things along. Will anyone from Mashable.com be there?

  3. Paul Holmes says:

We’re looking at possibly putting together a Vancouver Island panel with people sharing their successes using social media in communities from all over Vancouver Island. E-mail us if you have some thoughts on who might join us on this.

As for Mashable, CNN referred to me as a Mashable organizer. That might be the closest we have… We do have other great speakers from all over North America, though.

    See you on October 3rd!
