We're looking at possibly putting together a Vancouver Island panel with people sharing their successes using social media in communities from all over Vancouver Island. E-mail us if you have some thoughts on who might join us on this.

As for Mashable, CNN referred to me as a <a href="http://johnkingusa.blogs.cnn.com/2010/06/30/todays-most-important-person-you-don%E2%80%99t-know-pete-cashmore/" rel="nofollow">Mashable organizer</a>. That might be the closest we have... We do have other great speakers from all over North America, though.

See you on October 3rd!

I can't wait for this! I would love to see something on social media and how it can be used to develop exposure and community profile for smaller communities. My company and eZABU.com have been working on it in Campbell River with some real success, but we are always looking for more ideas to push things along. Will anyone from Mashable.com be there?
