Social Media Coaching

Sorry folks, coaching for Social Media Camp 2013 is now closed. If you need a bit of extra help, be sure to visit the Knowledge Cafe at Social Media Camp. See you soon!

What’s It About?
A very successful component of Social Media Camp is one-on-one coaching. Essentially, we pair social media folks with the newbies, so the new folks get the most out of their Social Media Camp experience. Attendees of Social Media Camp sign up on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no extra charge.

Each coach develops a unique program, which may include the following elements:

  • Possibly a meeting prior to SMCamp – even a week or two in advance, perhaps in your local area if you are coming from another city.
  • Meeting as a group on Monday, May 6th, right after the group orientation and registration at the Strathcona Hotel (space is provided).
  • On May 7th and 8th, meet as needed, in smaller groups or one-on-one (some coaches offer to answer texts or tweets from people in their group)
  • Meet afterwards, back in their local area, for a follow-up.
  • One-on-one e-mail or Twitter follow-ups, as available.

Coaches help with specific questions, assist with signing up and configuring social accounts, help direct people to sessions that they feel will be of particular interest, and otherwise be available as a guide throughout the event.
