Kari approaches social media with a lens to how it will support sustainable and effective fundraising for small charities. For the past 24 years Kari’s career has specialized in fundraising, corporate sponsorship and marketing for not-for-profit organizations. She established the first classroom-based, internationally recognized fundraising course in Canada and has taught both fundraising and marketing at Camosun College as well as conducted workshops for local, provincial and national conferences. Kari has the internationally Certified Fund Raising Executive designation, a MA in Leadership with a major project focussed on ethical guidelines in fundraising and is currently enrolled in a Social Media certificate program. You may see Kari riding her bike to work from her home in Brentwood Bay.
