Duncan has been an integral part of the communications team at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt for more than ten years. Originally the external webmaster, Duncan has evolved the position into one that keeps senior leaders within the Department of National Defence appraised on matters of local, regional, national and international interest that may impact operations in Canada and abroad. While still maintaining the MARPAC website, Duncan also updates the military’s social media sites to keep the public informed on what the military is doing on the West Coast of Canada and internationally.

A speaker at the National Association of Broadcasters International Convention in Las Vegas and a guest on international syndicated computer related television shows, Duncan has been recognized both Nationally and Internationally for his innovation in Media Monitoring and Social Media as a communication and information research tool.

In addition to the military websites Duncan also runs the popular twitter account @whiskeywhisky tweeting news about single malt whiskies and manages the @UnionClubofBC twitter account.
