About the speaker:

For over 15 years, Joel has helped businesses foster change, drive innovation and solve communication challenges through creative uses of technology.

With roots in B2C, Joel currently manages the marketing design and delivery functions at Softchoice, one of the largest technology solution providers in North America. His team is responsible for connecting customers with the Softchoice story through B2B digital, social and print marketing channels. Joel is also responsible for modelling and maximizing Softchoice’s use of emerging digital platforms to continually deepen customer relationships and drive engagement with the Softchoice brand.

Prior to Softchoice, Joel helped establish the interactive division of Publicis Canada, where he provided the vision and direction for over 600+ large-scale digital solutions. Early in his career Joel was at TBWA/Chiat/Day bringing technology and innovation to its clients and staff.

Joel enjoys being a regular guest speaker at CMA marketing courses and in 2006 was an instructor for the combined York/Sheridan design program.

Joel has created digital business solutions for many of Canada’s best known brands including Canada Post, CIBC, HP, Kia, Kraft, Microsoft, Nestle Purina, Nissan, Rogers, Scotiabank and Wal-Mart.

Joel graduated from the University of Western Ontario. His interests include art in its various forms, gadgets of all kinds, and enjoying time with his young family.
