Biography:

Chris is a digital marketing and social media strategist

Since 1995 Chris has been leveraging Internet based communications to build brands and move products for fortune 1,000 companies such as BMW Japan, HP, Kia, Nestle Purina, as well as smaller local businesses like AbeBooks, Mayfair Mall and Planet Organic Market.  In 2009 Chris founded bWEST Interactive, a social media consultancy focused on helping companies grow their businesses using social media.

Prior to starting bWEST, Chris lead interactive marketing strategy at Suburbia Advertising (Victoria), McCann Erikson (Toronto) and Cove-Ito Advertising (Tokyo).

Chris regularly speaks at conferences, trade shows, and corporate events about social media strategies, trends, and tactics. Recent engagements include Canadian Institute of Management Consultants, Vancouver Island Real Estate Board and the Ontario Community Newspaper Association.

Chris also conducts Social Media Workshops on a monthly basis up and down Vancouver Island as well as providing corporate Social Media Training.
