About the speaker:

I am a fourth year Political Science honours student, also minoring in sociology, and am due to graduate in December 2012. I recently completed my undergraduate thesis, exploring Canadian youth involvement in unconventional political action, exploring the role of social media in influencing and organizing this action. I work in student services at UVic, using social media to help connect incoming students with their new school.
